Jana Schmitz

Jana is the Technical Advisor for Assurance & Emerging Technologies at CPA Australia. As Technical Advisor, Jana develops and delivers policy and thought leadership initiatives in the areas of audit and assurance and emerging technologies. How Blockchain, AI, RPA, Data Analytics and other technologies impact on the accounting profession is one of the key areas Jana focuses on. Jana is a member of the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board’s (AUASB) Project Advisory Group on Data Integrity and a member of the ATO’s Cyber Security Stakeholder Group (CSSG). She is also a key contributor to the National Blockchain Roadmap Cybersecurity Working Group. Jana has a PhD in Accountancy from RMIT and a Masters of International Business from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (Germany).
